Last week was crazy and busy with a water heater that decided to spring a leak over our carpet to tests and plenty of 12 hour shifts up on-campus at work, school, and practicums for classes without coming home. I made a good grade on a test, I ate the assessment I gave instead of letting it eat me, and made a really good pot roast to top it off.
This week should be a little less crazy. I think. I am buckling down and studying for the Praxis Saturday and I have a rather large project due this week. Busy times like this make me grateful for how much I love my major since that is what occupies my time, my job because phone jobs are fun and so are the people I work with, and my really nice room mates.
The downside and upside is when I get stressed I clean. That is a task that can never actually be finished. I also end up not sleeping much which means I fell asleep three times within a five hour period eating dinner and watching a movie with friends...how embarrassing.
In the mean time, look at this fun word art that Wordle.net makes out of your most commonly used blog words...I use some weird word combinations! I thought this seemed appropriate because this is how my brain and my blog post seems right now...a little disorganized.

festivities
There is something about boys and sharp things or fire and/or both.
...where as Trace just wanted everyone to know what he would choose with tattoos.
Gibby is such a cute newsie, too bad Wolverine is a little clumsy. Funny story behind this one... there is a guy in her ward who is being kind of obnoxious and won't leave her alone. We were hoping paired off photos will cure a bit of the problem.
Brad's friends and room mates just wanted help drawing chops on their faces.I spent several days trying to concoct a costume, came up with a good idea, and then realized I was way too cheap for that! I am happy in moments like this creativity seems to win though.
...I'm Autumn, get it?It's nice to have Halloween in Provo- where people are relatively modest. That wasn't quite the norm at my last school, but then again I was invited over by an apartment of guys in my ward last night to watch Pride and Prejudice and that's not exactly normal either.
I only had one piece of candy so
Autumn 1, Halloween 0.

I'm glad I am named Autumn instead of Spring or Summer

My favorite memories have to do with this season. I love the reds, the feel of pumpkins, the memories of my friends growing up playing with the leaf piles, and the ones of four-wheeler riding with my grandfather to put up deer stands. I think of apple cider, the orchard my parents and I visited every year, and the smell of burning leaves in all of our neighbor's ditches on Brenna Drive growing up.
My favorite month is October and my least favorite is November. I have five more days of the prettiest month in the year.

little things that make me love Utah
Utah just passed legislation to block pornographic material to children and adults as well through emails, phones, messenger IDs and the like. I just registered and if you live in Utah and have a child in the home and still receive these ads, after 30 days there can be law action. I think this is pretty amazing.
Click HERE to register. You have to have a Utah zip code on the registry for there to be law action, but you can still sign up and get your email blocked for kicks and giggles.
I'm grateful to hear about a law that is protecting families and individuals against muck opposed to trying to endorse it in the name of civil rights.

peace of mind
I feel like I know a lot about worse case scenarios. This is kind of a melodramatic beginning, but it doesn't deserve an explanation, a life story, a song lyric, or teen angst because I can honestly say I don't associate it with any of those anymore. However, the word acceptance comes to mind.
Reflections on these situations don't make me extremely happy, but if I sit down long enough I realize how lucky I am that they worked out that way. Even in the darkest hours of my life, I have found sunshine (often much later) and I have learned. I'm learning how to not wait for sunshine.
These relationships are a conditional relationship and not a contingent one. That condition is me, the only thing I can truly control, and knowing all of this means I am the luckiest girl in the world.
"I've had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened" -Mark Twain
Knowing this, my life will be a best case scenario all of the time.
P.S.
Click HERE to see a good clip of what I am fumbling around trying to say. Life is better lived today...than tomorrow essentially.
